Founded in 2024 by William Danz, Crazy Deuce Studios is on a mission to pioneer a new era in collectible card gaming (CCG). Inspired by a passion for CCGs and iconic pop culture movies and tv characters, Will identified a unique opportunity to bridge these worlds through an innovative card game concept. With gameplay mechanics that blend strategic depth with accessibility, Crazy Deuce Studios invites players to embark on an unforgettable journey through the movies and tv shows of their childhood, forging alliances, unleashing powerful abilities, and reliving iconic moments in a way that only a CCG crafted by true masters of the craft can deliver. The Licensee came to us looking for suitable licenses for his brand new CCG, Total Chaos.

We began by understanding our client’s vision, products, and customer base — identifying Flash Gordon as a great fit, given the nostalgic feel of the brand and the variety of characters. We crafted and presented a compelling pitch to King Features, highlighting Crazy Deuce Studios’ unique CCG, and led negotiations to secure mutually beneficial terms. We also simplified the License Agreement process, ensuring clarity and alignment for all parties before finalising the deal.

With our support, Crazy Deuce Studios successfully obtained their first license partnering with King Features, elevating their brand new game, and reaching new audiences and fans of Flash Gordon.

Once the license was signed, we gained access to King Features’ style guides and assets. Our team reviewed the materials, guiding Crazy Deuce Studios through the options to determine the best fit for their game. With a wide range of characters and an extensive SKUs list, our Product Development team ensured timely submissions to meet tight production schedules.

All materials were submitted in stages via the Licensor’s approval platform. We streamlined the process by proactively refining submissions to align with approval standards, minimising delays and ensuring efficiency.

Total Chaos: Flash Gordon Universe launched on Kickstarter, with funds supporting production, team growth and the development of future licensed expansions.

Total Chaos brings together heroes and villains from Flash Gordon movies, comics and beyond. The debut set features characters like Flash, Ming the Merciless, Dale Arden and Prince Vultan, all reimagined through original artwork and strategic gameplay.

We continue to oversee reporting obligations, including quarterly royalty reports, ensuring compliance and accuracy. Our commitment to exceptional service means we’re always on hand to support the Licensee with any needs or challenges that arise throughout the licensing process.
