Our very own Brinna Ball, Licensing Manager here at Born to License, represented the team at Toy Fair in New York last week. Even though Brinna was only in New York for three days, she made the most of her time there, having 17 meetings with licensors and attending the Licensing International Toy Fair party. Don’t worry - she still had time to build a LEGO flower or two.

5 Key Takeaways from LA Comic Con 2025 

Our VP of Licensing, Alyssa Gourlay, attended LA Comic Con to support two of our exhibiting partners—Keepsake and Total Chaos—and returned with valuable insights into emerging trends and consumer behavior in the entertainment merchandise landscape. Here are five key observations from this year's convention. 

We met up with over 130 licensors, including Disney, Hasbro, Netflix, Mattel, Warner Bros., Paramount, Universal Studios, Penguin Ventures, ZAG, Moonbug, Cloudco, SEGA, Netflix, The Roald Dahl Story Company, Atari, Tetris, Sesame Workshop, Angry Birds, Peanuts, King Features... and many more!

We discussed some of the hottest properties in the world (such as Hello Kitty, Barbie, Shrek and Jurassic Park) and attended six major showcases (Warner Bros., Hasbro, Mattel, Paramount, Netflix and Universal), which gave us valuable insights in the licensors' strategies for the rest of 2025 and the next few years ahead. And let us tell you… what we saw and learnt was very exciting.
