FIRA X WEAR LAUNCH MY HERO ACADEMIA LICENSED COLLECTION

  • Founded in 2021 in Atlanta, the idea for Fira X Wear was sparked on a pandemic walk in the park between co-founders and married couple Vincent and Jasmine James. Vincent thought it would be a great idea to mix cosplay with swimwear. Jasmine, a well-known cosplay influencer known as @CutiepieSensei, created β€œbeach episode” designs of her favorite characters to test the appeal on her social media. After online trolls commented on how swimwear couldn’t be cosplay, the two decided to build a brand based on the idea to prove the naysayers wrong.

    When Fira x Wear decided to expand into licensing, they sought our expertise to navigate this unfamiliar territory. They aimed to partner with beloved properties amongst the cosplay community, but needed guidance to make it happen.

  • We began by understanding our client’s vision, products, and customer base β€” identifying Crunchyroll, and their popular series β€˜My Hero Academia’ specifically, as the ideal fit. We crafted and presented a compelling pitch to Crunchyroll, highlighting Fira x Wear’s unique value and strong social media presence, and led negotiations to secure mutually beneficial terms. We also simplified the License Agreement process, ensuring clarity and alignment for all parties before finalising the deal.

    With our support, Fira x Wear successfully partnered with Crunchyroll, elevating their fashion collection and delighting fans with iconic looks.

  • Once the license was signed, we gained access to My Hero Academia’s style guides and assets. Our team reviewed the materials, guiding Fira x Wear through the various options to determine the best fit for their products. With a wide range of designs and an ambitious timeline, our Product Development team ensured timely submissions to meet tight production schedules.

    All materials were submitted in stages via the Licensor’s approval platform. We streamlined the process by proactively refining submissions to align with approval standards, minimising delays and ensuring efficiency.

  • Celebrating the upcoming final season of the beloved anime show, the first of three capsule collections launched in June 2025. For the collection launch, we collaborated with both Crunchyroll and Fira x Wear marketing teams to maximise visibility across all channels, including social media and the Licensee’s website.

    This first collection is inspired by the iconic sports uniform featured in the series and manga, combining dynamic storytelling and creative, cool street fashion. In the first capsule collection, bold blue, red, and white markings and subtle embroidered, branded embellishments adorn a mixed-material cropped hoodie, stylized utility jacket, futuristic cargo sweatpants, and fitted romper. Designed to be inclusive, the collection of separates can be mixed and matched and is available in a wide range of sizes.

  • We continue to oversee reporting obligations, including quarterly royalty reports, ensuring compliance and accuracy. Our commitment to exceptional service means we’re always on hand to support Fira x Wear with any needs or challenges that arise throughout the licensing process.
