Fira X Wear Launches My Hero Academia Collection with Support from Born to License
A bold new chapter in anime fashion—powered by Fira X Wear and Born to License
Fira X Wear has officially launched its My Hero Academia collection, a bold, fashion-forward line that blends anime inspiration with elevated streetwear design. Born to License is proud to have partnered with Fira X Wear on this exciting project, providing end-to-end support throughout the licensing journey.
Fira X Wear’s founder Jasmine James (@CutiePieSensei) brought a clear and compelling creative vision to the table. A celebrated cosplayer and former video game concept artist, Jasmine brings a unique perspective to anime fashion—one rooted in storytelling, silhouette, and character design.
“I want to create clothing that feels like something the characters themselves would wear in real life,” Jasmine explains. “As anime has become more mainstream, people are realizing it’s not just for kids anymore, but the fashion side of it has been slower to evolve. We grew up with anime, and now we want outfits that reflect our love for it in a stylish way.
Born to License oversaw every stage of the licensing process, from initial negotiations to final approvals
Born to License facilitated the negotiation and acquisition of the My Hero Academia license through Crunchyroll, acted as a liaison with Toho Animation, and guided Fira X Wear through product development and approvals. Through Born to License’s strategic guidance, Fira X Wear not only secured a top-tier license, but also developed a product roadmap and marketing plan that positions them for long-term success in the anime apparel space.
David Born, CEO at Born to License, added, “Fira X Wear has burst into the licensing space, and we’re thrilled to have played a part in bringing this bold new collection to life. My Hero Academia is a powerhouse brand with a passionate global fanbase, and this drop captures the energy and style fans love.”
The result is a collection that pushes the boundaries of anime-inspired fashion. With original designs and custom fabrics, the line offers fans a new way to express their connection to the world of My Hero Academia, not just through merch, but through meaningful, wearable design.
“This collection from Fira X Wear is going to empower fans to ‘Be The Main Character,’” said Anna Songco Adamian, VP of Global Consumer Products at Crunchyroll. “We can’t wait for fans to express their love for the series through this powerful collaboration.”
The collection is available now. We’re excited to see what’s next for Fira X Wear and proud to have played a part in this milestone moment.
